Embark on a magical winter adventure through Spiti Valley, starting in Delhi and journeying through Shimla, Chitkul, Nako, Gue, Key, Kibber, Kaza, Komik, Hikkim, Langza, Dhankar, and Kalpa before returning to Shimla and Delhi. Day 1Arrival in Chandigarh | The First Planned City of India
Upon reaching Chandigarh, meet the driver who will transfer you to your pre-booked hotel in Chandigarh. Complete the check-in formalities and relax for sometime. You will then meet your road captain who will be leading the entire trip and will brief you about the terrain and will draw out a day-wise final plan. Later on, proceed over for dinner followed by a comfortable overnight stay.
Day 2 Chandigarh to Narkanda | The Apple Capital of India
Post check-out, the driver will pick you up from your hotel in Chandigarh and take you to Narkanda, also known as the Apple Capital of India. En route, pass through the quaint hill station of Chail, housing beautiful flower orchards. As you reach Narkanda, indulge in the sweet aroma of apple and cherry trees stretched across the surrounding landscapes. Check-in to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 3 Narkanda to Chitkul | Welcome to The Last Inhabited Village at the Indo-Tibetan Border
Post check-out, the driver will pick you up from the hotel and take you to Chitkul, the last inhabited village before the Indo-China Border. Embark on a scenic road journey, immersing yourself in the unbinding beauty of the Kinnaur Valley. Traverse along the Sutlej and take a right from Karcham to reach Chitkul. You can also visit the '‘Hindustan ka Akhri Dhaba’ for a delicious meal. Later, check-in to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 4Chitkul to Kalpa | Spot the Sacred Shivling Rock Atop the Kailash Mountain
Post check-out, meet the driver who will transfer you to Kalpa, a small & charming town located on the banks of Sutlej River. You will head back towards Karcham upto Powari from where a left turn will take you to ReoKong Peo, the main city in Kinnaur District. Continue to reach Kalpa, overlooking the Kinnaur Kailash Peak and check-in to your pre-booked camp / homestay for a comfortable overnight stay.
Day 5 Kalpa to Kaza | Explore the 'Ajanta of the Himalayas' at Tabo
Check-out from your camp / homestay and meet the driver who will take you to Kaza, a beautiful town in the Spiti Valley. Pass by the Khab Bridge & witness the confluence of Spiti & Satluj River. Stop by the Nako Lake and have lunch. Next, cross Sumdo & take a right to visit the Gue Monastery. You will then head towards Tabo Monastery, known as the ‘Ajanta of the Himalayas’. Later, reach Kaza and check-in to your hotel / homestay for an overnight stay.
Day 6Sightseeing Around Kaza | Walk the Artistically Painted Rooms at Key Monastery
The driver will pick you up from the hotel / homestay and take you on a sightseeing tour around Kaza. You will first visit the majestic Key Monastery housing ancient murals and weapons. You will then head towards the Langza Village followed by Hikkim, having the highest post office in the world. You will then head towards Komik, Asia's highest Village. Later, return to your hotel / homestay for an overnight stay in Kaza.
Day 7Kaza to Chandratal Lake via Kunzum La | Explore Glistening Lake that Changes Colours Throughout the Day
Check out from your hotel / homestay in Kaza and meet the driver who will take you to Chandratal Lake. You will embark on a journey through the scenic road surrounded by the mighty Himalayas. After crossing the Kunzum La Pass, you will take a right, 4 km before Batal to reach the location. You will then reach the gorgeous crescent-shaped Chandratal Lake which changes color throughout the day. Have an overnight stay in a camp beside the lake.
Day 8Chandratal Lake to Manali via Rohtang Pass | Witness Spellbinding Views of Geypan Peaks
Check-out from your camps and meet the driver who will pick you up and take you to Manali. You will pass by the remarkable Rohtang Pass while taking in the amazing views of the Himalayan Range. After reaching Manali, check-in to your hotel and rest for sometime. You can explore the nearby Mall Road or pay a visit to the sacred Hadimba Devi Temple. Have an overnight stay in Manali.
Day 9Manali to Chandigarh | Bid Farewell to the Mountains
Pack your bags and check-out from your hotel to meet the driver who will take you to Chandigarh. Reach Chandigarh in the evening and return home with a bagful of memories.
